Charity Beer Festival &
Boule Tournament
August Bank Holiday Sunday
The Bridge Inn held it's first Beer Festival in September 2004, offering
10 beers, a bar-b-que and Jazz on a Sunday afternoon.
This has now become an annual event and moved to the August Bank Holiday
Sunday.
All the barrels are sponsored, by local companies and individuals, which
means all beer purchased on the day goes directly to the chosen charity.
In 2006 we held a Boule Tournament alongside the Beer Festival, with 16
teams battling it out for the prestigious Robinson Trophy.
In 2007, the winners of the Boule Tournament chose Wiltshire Air
Ambulance as the charity - receiving £650.
Not bad for an afternoons 'work'!
In 2008, the winners of the Boule Tournament chose the West Lavington
Youth Club and the new West Lavington BMX Track as the beneficiaries,
receiving £500 each.
